(PRWEB) February 20, 2014
Increasingly, the convergence between traditional mobile devices and a new set of embedded Internet of Things (IoT) devices brings a new set of challenges for ensuring security and privacy. The workshop is part of the WIPJAM @ MWC14 developer conference co-presented by WIP and GSMA at the GSMA Mobile World Congress being held February 24-27, 2014 at Fira Gran Via in Barcelona, Spain.
Securing Mobile and IoT Devices
The conference workshop will begin by examining the significant challenges around ensuring identity and privacy across mobile and IoT devices. It then will explore the Web-based solutions that have emerged, including OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect. Additionally, the session will discuss certain challenges that remain and identify areas where the industry can collaborate to solve them.
The session will be held 3:10 3:40 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, in Room 5 Level 3 at Fira Montjuïc, Hall M5.
