Oliver Springs native Janelle Arthur made her way into living rooms last season on "American Idol," impressing the judges and America alike, making it to the Top Five.
Now, Arthur is back in East Tennessee...taking the stage at Thompson Boling Arena tonight for the "American Idol Live" Tour.
She stopped by Mornings with Fox 43 and talked with Moira Kaye and Abby Ham about life aboard the tour bus and life after "Idol."
"Being on the show is different than you think..." Arthur says. "Some things aren't as intimidating as you think...and then some things are."
And life aboard the tour bus is "like a 24/7 slumber party!" Arthur said. "It's fun for us. There is no competition."
After the tour, Arthur plans to move to Nashville. "I'm hoping to be writing more music, getting into the studio and to get some good music out there."
According to her, performing at Thompson Boling Arena and her hometown fans is "...unreal. For me to be performing in that venue is unreal."
Tickets are still available for tonight's show. The fun starts at 7:30pm at Thompson Boling Arena.
"Thanks to East Tennessee for all the support. I love you guys!"
