Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP partner Mark A. Loyd was recently appointed to the 2013 Basic State Income Tax School Committee of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT). The Income Tax Education Committees ensure continuous improvements and consistency in the administration of the income tax education programs at IPT.

IPT is a non-profit educational association serving more than 4400 members representing approximately 1450 corporations, firms, or taxpayers throughout the United States and Canada. IPT is the only professional organization that educates, certifies and establishes strict codes of conduct for state and local income, property & sales and use tax professionals who represent taxpayers. The Basic State Income Tax School Committee works to develop and administer a curriculum, including identifying and coordinating instructors to teach basic income taxation.

Mark A. Loyd is a member of the Tax and Finance Practice Group and is the firm’s State and Local Tax Team Leader. Loyd acts as an advocate for clients in resolving disputes with state and local tax authorities and federal administrative agencies. His primary areas of focus are state, local and federal tax controversy resolution, litigation and planning.
